  2. 2 Peel potatoes, slice 3mm thin on mandoline or knife
  3. 3 Slice leeks into rounds, wash thoroughly
  4. 4 Soften leeks in butter 5 mins
  5. 5 Rub dish with garlic clove
  6. 6 Layer potato slices, then leeks, season each layer
  7. 7 Mix cream with nutmeg, pour over
  8. 8 Top generously with grated cheese
  9. 9 Cover with foil, bake 30 mins
  10. 10 Remove foil, bake 15 more mins until golden
