  2. 2 Mix flour, bicarbonate, salt, and beer for batter
  3. 3 Heat oil to 180C
  4. 4 Pat fish dry, season
  5. 5 Drain and dry chips
  6. 6 Fry chips 6-8 mins until golden, drain
  7. 7 Dip fish in batter, let excess drip
  8. 8 Fry fish 4-5 mins until golden
  9. 9 Serve with chips and mushy peas
